Probing Prague’s Depths

It’s hard to believe it’s been nearly 10 years since we traveled to Prague. Looking back on our blog posts from that trip, I’m reminded of the untold stories from that adventure; the “not safe for work” details to which we only alluded. Now, in glorious color, we probe a bit deeper in the city that is Prague.

Let’s be clear right up front: Prague is a town that embraces sex. It may not have the reputation of, say, Amsterdam, but it doesn’t hide it, either. Google “sex club” in the town and you’ll find lots of options for various tastes. That’s not our jam, but if that floats your boat, who are we to judge? That said, we still found Prague to be a truly “playful” town.

A sense of being “born again?”

Spa Beer Land

In our blog, we introduced you to this unique experience, but let’s get real, this place offers a potential treasure trove of hedonistic activities. The room we were in was huge … WAY too much for just the two of us. There were three hot tubs, each big enough for two and roomy enough to have sex in. Yes, we did. The sauna was the same, although we don’t recommend having sex in one (too hot!). The cold-water plunge was bracing. The brochures may show lots of young folks in shorts and bikinis, but with a lock on the inside, the place is yours for the duration of your experience. Nudity is a given. Bring your like-minded friends and have a party.

The privacy of our Spa Beer Land experience allowed for the taking of some lusty photos.

Ecsotica Spa at Alchemist Hotel

Our massage experience at the Ecsotica Spa at the Alchemist Hotel was truly luxurious, and sexy in its own way. A big difference between this experience and massages in the states comes down to the U.S. massage industry’s requirements for “coverage.” Massage therapists here are trained to properly cover all of the body that’s not being worked, and prevents work on some others. This is sad because there are large muscles in the butt that often need work; same with pec muscles on both men and women. At the Ecsotica Spa, our therapists handed us each a pair of thong-like disposable underwear just large enough to cover the essentials. It’s a less puritanical approach to nudity. As noted in our blog, these therapists got to (almost) every part of our bodies, often using more than hands to dig deep into the muscles, even walking on our backs at one point.

Czech “Crystal” and Fun Trinkets

The Czech Republic is known for its fine crystal, and we were on the hunt for a nice set of glasses to take home. In the middle of our hunt, we visited a mall, where – much to our surprise – there was an adult toy store right at the top of the escalator (to be fair, despite the country’s openness to sex, the window display was discrete and covered the variety of merchandise held within).

We found some fun and kinky trinkets for our home, including a working cigarette lighter featuring a couple in flagrante delicto and some novelty condoms for our lounge collection. But the feature purchase was a unique and beautiful glass dildo. It’s on full display in our bedroom.

Our sexy souvenirs range from condoms for our collection to fine glass art!

Prague has virtually anything the sexually adventurous may want to find and do. If you get a chance, “Czech it out.”
